24 HOUR EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE at the touch of a button
The Australian Locum Medical Service (who we use for our after hours home visiting service) can provide this Personal Alert System to our senior patients who have decided to live independantly at home for as long as they can.
One of the biggest worries for seniors living alone is not being able to telephone someone for assistance in the event of an accident or emergency.
The Emergency Response staff are alerted immediately & respond to your call quickly & efficiently.
This Medical Advice service is a co -operative arrangement with your own doctor who subsidises the service to ensure that you have any needed support at home 24/7. With your consent, your GP provides the emergency response medical staff with your medical history, so that in the event of an accident or emergency at home, the locum Doctor can provide either telephone advice or a homevisit in the absence of your own GP.

1. TELEPHONE ADVICE IS SUPPLIED BY LOCUM DOCTORS FROM ALMS WITHOUT ANY MEDICAL COST AND IF A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED YOU WILL BE BULK BILLED (because our practice subscribes to AMLS After hours Medical Service)
2. YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY CAN PROVIDE VITAL INFORMATION IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION
3. IndePendant has no connection with any Security Service
INSTALLATION & CONTRACT
Installation costs $298 & includes a Mode 3 socket. This socket ensures that the medical emergency alarm has priority over the phone line & is able to dial out in the case of emergency, regardless if the phone line is in use, off the hook or if a phone has been ripped out of the socket by an intruder.
Contract is for a minimum of 6 months & costs $5.50 per week.($143.00 monitoring fee for 6 months) If there is no need for the equipment after that it can simply be returned
